The following is an excerpt from a samvaad (dialogue) session with Acharya Prashant.

सभि जीअ तुमारे जी तूं जीआ का दातारा

~ नितनेम (रहरासि साहिब)

All living beings are Yours. You are the Giver of all souls.

~ Nitnem (Rahraasi Saahib)

Acharya Prashant (AP): “Sabhi jeea tumaare jee tuun jeea ka daataara (All living beings are Yours. You are the Giver of all souls).”

The question is: He is the ultimate giver, but how to understand giving where ‘I’ does not exist?

‘I’ does exist. ‘I’ does exist. He is the Giver of both. He is the giver of ‘I’, and the freedom from ‘I’. He gives both. From Him comes this entire game of illusion, and from Him comes the possibility of redemption.

That is why there is no need to feel responsible for your deluded state. You did not do it. There is no need to feel ashamed about slipping. You did not do it. ‘He’ is the Giver of all. ‘He’ gave it to you.

There is a great doer-ship, or ownership, in the sense of shame or guilt. You did not do it. The day you feel ashamed is also the day you feel empowered, emboldened, to redeem…
