The mind is your best friend

The following is an excerpt from a samvaad (dialogue) session with Acharya Prashant.

Question (Q): Dear Sir, why does it happen that on particular nights, despite my head heavy with knowledge of the outside, reading a scripture or listening to Osho or JK is so clear to me?

Acharya Prashant (AP): It often appears as if we have met some new ‘experience’. Remember, all that is happening is still happening in the mind. All happenings, howsoever abstract or esoteric, are always within the mind. This, however, is no bad news.

Your mind itself will lead you inside. Layer after layer, just keep recognizing it.

If you can see, even in the most consummate of moments, that it is still the mind, you will see much.

It is a staircase with a thousand steps, and the mind will lead you till the last but one. To feel that one can climb up without the help of mind is ignorance.

There is nothing but the mind. The mind is your best friend. It is all that ‘is’. Seek its help.
